De Sovjet-Unie (afgekort USSR) is een voormalige communistische staat in Europa en Azië (USSR = Unie van Socialistische Sovjet-Republieken)], gesticht door Vladimir Lenin na de Russische Revolutie. Lenin ging niet veel later dood. De tweede leider was Stalin.

De Sovjet-Unie was een Communistiche dictatuur. Dat betekent dat je niet tegen de regering mocht zijn en dat iedereen gelijk was. Bijvoorbeeld: even veel salaris en als je geen communist was kon je het wel schudden, want mensen die niet Communtistisch waren kregen helemaal niks van de Sovjet-regering.
