Het capitool (bestuurscentrum) van Florida in Tallahassee.
Tallahassee is de hoofdstad van de Amerikaanse staat Florida. De stad ligt in het noorden van de staat en is gebouwd op heuvels. Behalve hoofdstad van Florida, is Tallahassee ook de hoofdplaats (county seat) van Leon County.
Tallahassee zelf heeft 181.376 inwoners, maar de agglomeratie heeft wel 367.413 inwoners. Tussen 2000 en 2010 steeg het bevolkingsaantal met 20.4%. De stad groeit dus snel.
Tallahassee heeft een eigen luchthaven, Tallahassee Regional Airport, met vluchten naar andere steden in de Verenigde Staten, waaronder veel steden in Florida.
