De Universiteit van Oxford is een universiteit in de Engelse stad Oxford. Het is de oudste universiteit van het Verenigd Koninkrijk en samen met de Universiteit van Cambridge één van de beroemdste van het Verenigd Koninkrijk. De Latijnse naam voor de Universiteit van Oxford is Universitas Oxoniensis. Het motto is Dominus Illuminatio Mea (De Heer is mijn Licht). De Universiteit van Oxford is opgericht rond circa 1096, maar volgens andere bronnen werd het opgericht in 1167, eigenlijk is het een beetje onduidelijk wanneer.

De universiteit bestaat ui 38 colleges en 6 halls, van de 38 colleges zijn er 9 maar opgericht in de 20e en 21e eeuw. Hier is er een lijst van alle colleges:

De toegangseisen voor de Universiteit van Oxford is super streng, het is voor velen een droom om naar de Universiteit van Oxford te komen maar dit komt voor weinig uit, van de velen mogen maar weinig toegelaten worden, daarom zijn er ook maar 17.000 studenten. Daarom zit de Universiteit van Oxford ook mogelijk in de top 5 van beste universiteiten. Sinds 1921 hebben leerlingen van Oxford 58 Nobelprijzen gewonnen, de mensen die na hun Nobelprijs naar Universiteit van Oxford gingen tellen we niet mee. Ook studeerden 27 premiers van het Verenigd Koninkrijk aan de Universiteit van Oxford.
