Plymouth is de hoofdstad van Montserrat.
Op 18 juli 1995 is er een vulkaan uitgebarsten, hierdoor is de stad niet meer bewoond. Van de inwoners die de stad had, is twee derde gevlucht naar andere eilanden. Montserrat wordt tegenwoordig bestuurd vanuit Brades, maar Plymouth is nog steeds officieel de hoofdstad.
