Ryan Thomas Gosling (
Londen, Ontario, 12 november 1980) is een Canadese acteur.
Hij is opgevoed in Cornwall in Ontario door Donna en Thomas Gosling, wie mormoon zijn. Zijn ouders scheidde toen Ryan nog klein was. Hij had het moeilijk op school en vechtte met medeleerlingen. Daardoor gaf zijn moeder Ryan vanaf zijn tiende jaar thuis les. Toen hij weer terug naar school ging, ging hij naar de Cornwall Collegiate and Vocational School, maar hij stopte weer met school toen hij 17 was. In 1997 ging hij in Los Angeles wonen, waar hij bij regiseur Ron Oliver logeerde.
Ryan heeft huizen in Toronto en Los Angeles, Californië. Hij heeft kort een relatie met Sandra Bullock toen hij samen met haar in Murder by Numbers speelde. Nu heeft hij een relatie met Rachel McAdams, met wie hij samen in The Notebook speelde.
