Selena Marie Gomez (Dallas, Texas, 22 juli 1992), beter bekend als Selena Gomez is een Amerikaans actrice en zangeres. Haar vader is van Mexicaans/Amerikaans en haar moeder van Italiaanse afkomst. Haar eerste rol op TV was in Barney and Friends.
Sinds 2007 speelt ze een hoofdrol in de Disney Channel Original Series Wizards of Waverly Place. Ze is ontdekt tijdens een auditie van Disney Channel.
Selena Gomez heeft ook enkele gastrollen gespeeld in bijvoorbeeld The Suite Life on Deck.
Naast acteren zingt Selena ook in een band: Selena Gomez & the Scene. Die is opgericht in 2008. Selena Gomez & the Scene bestaat uit: Selena Gomez (zangeres), Joey Clement (basgitarist), Greg Garman (drummer) en Dane Forrest (keyboard). Selena gomez & the Scene hebben vier albums uitgebracht: Kiss & Tell (2009), A Year Without Rain (2010), When the Sun Goes Down (2011) en Stars Dance (2013).
